Yesterday was a comp day for the band, so we didn’t have to work. I slept in some, but still got up in time to get Robert to school and see Ryan off to his class. Then I went for a run. I wanted to go before it got too warm up. When I got back from my run, the wind was starting to pick up and it had blown our recycle bin over and I had to pick up recycling from all over my yard and I even chased some empty Pepsi bottles down the street. Our bin was VERY full and I couldn’t get everything back inside it – so I put some in my neighbor’s bin. LOL After Ryan got home, we went to Pizza Hut for their lunch buffet and then picked Robert up from school. We had planned on a family afternoon at the park, but mother nature had other plans. It was super windy and trying to rain off and on so we ran a few errands around town and then came home and played Wii and just hung out around the house. K joined us for dinner at a new restaurant in the evening and that was nice. But because I didn’t work and we had Robert home with us all afternoon, it felt like Saturday and Robert and I missed choir practice. Oops!!
This morning it was back to work and we had some Army training this morning and then ceremonial band conductor training after that. I stitched during lunch and then after lunch we had our monthly drug/alcohol class. That was pretty short and after that, I wasn’t doing anything in supply, so I went to Clothing Sales and checked on my stuff that I have on special order – that I ordered well over a month ago. The lady that was working didn’t have a clue about it and couldn’t find it in the back, but she gave me a number to call tomorrow morning to check on it. Grr… Then I came home and went for a run before getting Robert from Child Time. When we got home, we went on a .83 mile run together. We ran when he wanted to run and walked when he wanted to walk. This was his first official training run for his first 5K he’ll be running the beginning of June! After our run, Ryan was home early from class so we went to Jack in the Box for a quick dinner before Ryan’s American Legion Riders meeting. Robert played baseball in the back yard for a bit before bed.
Today’s high: 71
Current: 63
That’s so cool that Robert will be doing a 5k! He must be thrilled to run with Mommy. 🙂
