Retirement Ceremony, Pictures in Tombstone, and Buffalo Wild Wings

Today was an early and long day.  We had formation at 0615 so we could go over the music for this morning’s ceremony.  The ceremony – Quarterly Installation Retirement Ceremony (IRC) – started at 0730 and was fairly short.  After a little bit of time at the band hall, we all go on the bus and headed to Tombstone.  I stitched during the ride out there.  Then we did full band and ensemble pictures out there.  We took pictures in about 5 or so different places around the town – some with instruments and some without.  After we were done, we all got back on the bus and headed back to Sierra Vista and went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch.  That was nice and lots of good conversations at our table.  Once we were done, it was back to the band hall to do details and then we were done for the day.  I headed home and got changed and just relaxed for a while and read the newspapers from the past couple of days.  Then we went and got Robert from school and headed out to post.  At the rodeo arena on post they had some activities for kids and then we went on the Haunted hayride.  It was pretty scary in some places, but Robert did really well.  He did get scare some, but he didn’t scream at all – WAY less than the teenage girls in the back of the trailer.  After the ride was done (about 20 minutes or so), we hit the food booth for dinner.  Ryan and Robert had hotdogs and I had a caramel apple.  Robert and I had hot apple cider and Ryan had Dr Pepper.  Then we headed home and got Robert to bed.  Now it’s my turn. . .
