Drill Band & SAEDA

After the usual morning routine (lunches packed, breakfast made, Robert walked to school, computer time), I headed off to formation.  After formation we had Drill Band (marching band) to practice for the ceremony coming up on Friday.  It was super windy out there and there was a few times when I had a hard time saying on my feet.  But we can’t choose the weather we’ll have for a ceremony.  Drill band actually went pretty well considering it’s been a while.  After we were done, I headed to my office and accepted a few job requests, updated the calendars, etc.  Then it was lunchtime and I ate and stitched.  After lunch we had our annual SAEDA class about Subversion and Espionage Directed Against the Army.  It was short and sweet and really well done by someone from a unit that deals with that stuff.  After the class, First Sergeant released us to our shop heads and they could let us go whenever.  Of course, in Ops we were there until the end of the normal duty day.  Then I headed home and got the enchiladas (freezer to oven kind) into the oven.  They needed to cook for an hour and 20 minutes.  Then I crocheted for a while before we went to get Robert from school.  Dinner was ready shortly after we got home.  It was pretty good.  Then we had time to play and roughhouse and have a tickle fight before Robert read his books and got ready for bed.  The UPS guy finally came about 7:45 and we let Robert get the package – he had come out for "one last hug" just at the right time.  He sure was excited when he saw the box was for him!  I had ordered him a Jimmie Johnson hoodie from NASCAR.com.  I have a feeling I know what he’ll be wearing to school tomorrow.  Once he was back in bed I crocheted more and we watched Tivo.
