Happy Thanksgiving!!

I am thankful for many things, but most importantly that I am with my family this year! I know I’m not with my whole family, but at least I’m not halfway around the world as I was last year and will be next year. Ryan, Robbie, Mom, Dad, Rick, G’ma, G’pa, and all my wonderful aunts, uncles, and cousins, I love you all! I can’t wait til next month when we’re all together again for Christmas.

I had planned on going into Watertown this morning to run a 5K Turkey Trot race. But when I woke up, I had a major migraine due to not drinking enough (any?) water in the past few days. So I took some Excedrin Migraine and went back to sleep. I felt much better when Robbie woke me up about 9:45. Once up, I had some breakfast and then got the turkey and taters and carrots going in the crockpot and the pumpkin pie in the oven. Then we watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade – we had Tivo’ed it. Then it was on to the Packers/Lions football game, which I’m happy to report that my Packers won! It was a pretty good game, and Brett Favre was really on it today. I made a beaded ornament for an exchange I’m in on one of my message boards and read newspapers so I’m all caught up.

Shortly after 4:30 I called home and got to talk to Mom & Dad & Rick and G’ma & G’pa. I always try to call home on holidays. Once we were done on the phone, I got the rest of dinner ready – the rolls in the oven, corn cooked, and the table set. We used our good china tonight – the china was my great-grandmother’s. Even Robbie had a good plate and cup. Dinner turned out really good even though I had to put some of the taters in the microwave for a few minutes to finish cooking them. We had turkey, taters, carrots, corn, rolls, and cranberry sauce, and then pumpkin pie and cool whip for dessert later. We have a little bit of turkey left over (I just did a 3 pound turkey breast roast) and enough cranberry sauce for me for one more meal.

We played for a little while after we ate, and then after Robbie was in bed, I stitched and we watched some Tivo.

OH – it snowed today! It was raining when we woke up until sometime after noon. Then it snowed enough that the sidewalks and driveways are white, but the grass is still not. We’re supposed to get more the rest of the weekend.

High: 34
