Thursday

Today was Thursday. Just another day. JG and I went to the big gym this morning for PT since EVERY machine was in use when we got to our gym. It’s about 3/4 mile walk there, so that was nice. We lifted some weights and did some crunches and then walked home. After morning formation, I made a phone call for OPS and then went to my room and chatted, surfed, and stitched. I couldn’t practice as my tuba was having minor repairs made to it. After lunch was my brass quintet rehearsal, and we had a good two hours. We actually started working on stuff instead of just sightreading through it. We’d like to do our first chow hall gig next Friday. Aack!!! Lots of work to do between now and then, and we’re going to start rehearsing just about every day. We’ll probably only do 30-45 minutes our first time out, but it’ll be a start. After rehearsal I went to the gym and got a good workout in on the elliptical – a little over 3.5 miles. My nice long shower felt good after that, and then a good dinner to end the evening. I’m home now and will stitch and chat for a bit and then off to bed.
