Our offer on the house has been accepted, but not with pre-possession so we won’t be able to move in until we close. But at least we’re one step closer to being homeowners.
This morning we moved into a new room. We’re in the same building so we can still have our kitties with us, but we’re on the 2nd floor now and it’s only a one bedroom. But at least there is a separate bedroom so Robbie can sleep and we can still do stuff, unlike a regular hotel room. Because we had to check out of the old room before 11, we didn’t get to go check out our new church, but there’s next week. In the afternoon while Robbie was napping we tried to watch the NASCAR race, but it was rained out and will be run tomorrow. Once Robbie got up and we had played for a while, we headed out and did some exploring. We drove north on Hwy. 81 and saw the bridge to Canada and went to a small town just north of there – it was about 1/2 hour away. Oh, did I say the town was SMALL?? It’s a tiny resort town and no restaurants, other than probably expensive resort-type restaurants. So we came back and went to a wonderful restaurant that had both Chinese & Korean food. Ryan had Chinese and I had Korean. Robbie had chicken nuggets. There was so much food in mine that I have lunch tomorrow as well! We stopped at Walmart on our way back to post.
Once we got home, we got Robbie to bed and I settled in with my stitching and made my weekly phone call home to Mom & Dad. It’s always nice talking to them.
